Ranbar Black SR0080-3, Direct Black 19, is a greenish-black direct dye with a double azo class structure. It appears as a black powder, with high concentration and excellent dyeing properties. This dye easily dissolves in water, is sparingly soluble in ethanol and acetone, and exhibits good lightfastness.
The Ranbar Black SR0080-3 direct dye, when dissolved in water, forms a green-black solution. The addition of 10% sulfuric acid to the aqueous solution causes it to exhibit a slightly reddish hue. Upon the introduction of concentrated alkali, the solution turns into a light greenish-blue color. In concentrated nitric acid, it appears deep brown, while in concentrated sulfuric acid, it adopts a green-black color, yielding a red-black precipitate upon dilution.
When using Ranbar SR0080-3 Black direct dye for coloration, its copper ion imparts a slightly greenish hue, while the iron ion exhibits subtle variations in color. This dye is suitable for combination with brown dyes, allowing the creation of various shades of coffee and other colors. It is primarily employed for dyeing and printing cotton, viscose fibers, silk, wool, and fabrics composed of a blend of cotton or viscose fibers. Additionally, it can be utilized for coloring leather, paper, and other materials.
