Ranbar Blue SR5160-1 is a water-soluble basic dye with a dark brown powder appearance, Color Index is Basic Blue 26. This dye demonstrates excellent dyeing properties with good solubility, fast coloring speed, and high efficiency during the coloring process. It exhibits strong absorption and reflection of blue light, resulting in a vibrant and bright blue color effect during dyeing.
Ranbar SR5160-1 basic dye readily dissolves in water and ethanol, producing a bright treasure-blue color upon dissolution. When exposed to concentrated sulfuric acid, the color transforms into a reddish-brown shade, changing to red-yellow upon dilution, then progressing to green and ultimately turning blue.
In the aqueous solution of this alkaline dye, the addition of sodium hydroxide results in a deep reddish-brown color, while hydrochloric acid induces the formation of a blue precipitate.
Widely used in industries such as textiles, leather, and paper, Ranbar Blue SR5160-1 basic dye can be applied to dye silk, polyester, acrylic, linen, as well as cotton fibers dyed with tannin media. However, due to its lower lightfastness, it is more commonly used for coloring carbon paper, carbonless paper, and general paper. Additionally, it finds applications in coloring bamboo and wood products, feather products, painting pigments, printing inks, and water-based markers.
