Ranbar Yellow SR3080-2, Acid Yellow 23, is a vibrant red-yellow monoazo acid dye. It appears as an orange-yellow powder, displaying excellent solubility and outstanding dyeing power.

Ranbar Yellow SR3080-2 acid dye powder easily dissolves in water, is slightly soluble in ethanol and soluble in cellulose, while remaining insoluble in other organic solvents. Once dissolved in water, the solution exhibits a red-yellow color. The addition of hydrochloric acid to the solution does not alter the color, while the introduction of sodium hydroxide deepens the red hue.

The acid dye Ranbar Yellow SR3080-2 is primarily employed for dyeing and direct printing on wool, silk, acetate fibers, and polyamide fibers. It is also utilized for coloring paper, leather, wood, water-based inks, and soaps. Additionally, it finds application in the coloring of cosmetics.

The acid dye Ranbar Yellow SR3080-2 is recommended for dyeing in a bath with a pH range of 4-7 and a temperature of 70-90°C. Wool dyeing is advised to take place in a bath containing formic acid or sulfuric acid. The addition of sodium sulfate is helpful in achieving uniform dyeing. Silk dyeing is suggested to be carried out in an acetic acid bath.
