Product Description:

Ranbar Black GS0865 is a colorless to black UV color changing pigment. The pigment is produced by microencapsulation technology. It has stronger stability after discoloration and will not break its molecular structure due to high temperature, oxidation, etc.

Ranbar UV color changing pigments can absorb the energy of sunlight and ultraviolet rays, causing the molecular structure to change, which can lead to changes in the reflected wavelength, which can turn the color into black. This change is reversible repeatedly. When sunlight or ultraviolet light is lost, its molecular structure will return to its original state, thus returning to a colorless state.

Principle of UV color changing pigments:
In daily life, ultraviolet (UV) radiation can be categorized into three types based on different wavelength bands. UVC refers to wavelengths below 250nm, UVB falls within the range of 250-320nm, and UVA spans from 320-380nm. Visible light covers the range of 380-800nm, while infrared light extends from 900-1800nm. UV color changing pigments are capable of absorbing specific wavelengths of ultraviolet light sources. Through the absorption of the energy from the light source, these pigments undergo a change in color. Once the specific wavelength of ultraviolet light is no longer present, they revert to their original color.

 

Product Applications:

  • Plastic Molding: Suitable for injection molding, extrusion molding, and other processes involving various plastic materials such as PE, PP, ABS, PS, PVC, PU, TPU, TPR, EVA, etc. Recommended usage ratio is 0.2-5%.
  • Coatings, Paints: Suitable for surface coating of various plastic products. Examples include PMMA spray painting, ABS spray painting, PVC spray painting, water-based spray painting, etc. Recommended usage ratio is 6%-20%.
  • Printing ink: suitable for printing various materials, such as silk screen, transfer printing, pad printing, etc., used for various materials such as fabrics, paper, synthetic films, glass, ceramics, plastics, etc. It is recommended to add a proportion of 15% -30%
  • Textiles: Can be used for surface coating, Impregnation, and printing on various fabrics, underwear, towels, curtains, and other textile products.
