Ranbar Red WS1610 is a colorless to color thermochromic pigment. Its color changes with fluctuations in temperature; when the surrounding environment temperature increases, the internal molecular structure of the pigment transforms, resulting in a red hue. Conversely, upon cooling, the internal substances revert to their original structure, restoring the initial color. This color-changing phenomenon is reversible and can cycle indefinitely.
The color-changing temperature of Ranbar Colorless to Colored Thermochromic Pigments is not confined to specific temperature points. The primary color transition temperatures are 35°C, 40°C, and 60°C, respectively. Customization for color changes at other temperature points is also available if needed.
- Ranbar Thermochromic pigments can be applied to various surfaces and media, including paints, clay, ceramics, glass, plastics, synthetic films, paper, inks (offset inks, security inks, screen printing inks), fabrics, and cosmetic pigments (nail polish, lipstick, etc.).
- Plastics: Thermochromic pigments can be used in plastic products such as polypropylene, polyurethane, ABS, PVC, EVA, silicone resin, etc.
- Coatings: Thermochromic pigments are suitable for all types of surface coating products.
- Inks: Thermochromic pigments are applicable to printing on various materials, including fabrics, paper, synthetic films, glass, and more.
Ranbar thermochromic pigments are a type of colorant encapsulated in microcapsules, with an interior containing thermochromic powder and an outer layer coated with an insoluble transparent encapsulation. These thermochromic pigments are highly sensitive to the surrounding environment. The encapsulation layer enhances the stability and chemical resistance of the thermochromic powder, protecting it from the corrosion of other chemicals. Simultaneously, it also strengthens the durability of the product for various applications. It is crucial to handle the processing with care to avoid damage to the coating.
