Ranbar Yellow I4920L Cadmium Yellow Pigment is a high temperature resistant inorganic pigment based on cadmium sulfide and zinc sulfide. Its color index is Pigment Yellow 37. The pigment is brightly saturated in color, has strong tinting power, does not migrate or bleed, and has excellent light resistance, weather resistance, heat resistance, solvent resistance and good alkali resistance, but not acid resistance.
Ranbar I4920L Cadmium Yellow pigment finds extensive applications in industries such as enamel, ceramics, glass, plastics, coatings, and inks. Additionally, it can be used as an electronic fluorescent material and is suitable for formulating high-temperature-resistant coatings.
- Cadmium yellow and cobalt blue can be formulated to form a high-temperature-resistant cadmium cobalt green.
- Cadmium yellow is not as stable as cadmium red pigment outdoors and is mostly used for indoor plastic products.
- It is not suitable to be used with pigments containing copper or copper salts to avoid generating black copper sulfide or green copper sulfate.
- The abrasion resistance is poor, and a long time grinding in a dry state will make the color darken, if this happens, the discolored cadmium yellow can be restored to its original state by heat treatment.
- Cadmium yellow is suitable for coloring almost all resins, when used in polyethylene the molding processing time should be shortened as much as possible because zinc sulfide will promote the decomposition of polyethylene plastic and turn green.
